Edible Wedding Favor

There is one type of wedding favor which is almost always appreciated by the guests at the wedding and this is an edible wedding favor. You can of course provide savory favors which can be novel but the vast majority will prefer something sweet. You can make this really elaborate if you wish but generally a plain bar of candy that comes with a commemorative wrapper is a good idea. Some people go out of their way to ensure the chocolate is from a specialist candy or quality department store. Many people may eat the chocolate at the wedding but will probably keep any packaging that it comes in, as a souvenir.

If you are going as far as personalizing the wrapper, then why not have your picture printed on the wrapper to really impress your guests! Couples that would prefer something different for their edible wedding favors should try candy in a tin instead. These tins become mementos of the big day if the bride and groom have gone to the trouble of having the wedding details placed on every tin. These tins are also useful even when the candy has been eaten as they would make great little storage containers. Overall, edible wedding favors are the most popular and candy is at the top of the list.

A simple option here is to use a large glass display bowl that is full of various types of candy. You can give each of your guests a small container which matches the theme of the wedding such as a sand pail for a beach themed wedding or anything else which is appropriate. Even though the guests will be eating the candy during the evening, at the end of the night they can fill their presentation boxes (if there are any left) and take them away with them. Cookies are an edible wedding favor that many people overlook but can be just (if not more) appealing. These can also be presented in a box or a tin with details of the wedding printed on them as a special keepsake for the guests.

Of course you could always go all the way and have your photos printed on the face of the cookie as well. As this has become more popular so has the number of bakeries able to provide this type of service and having images printed onto cookies isn't that difficult. With the variety of teas and coffees available these days, there is no reason why these cannot be the edible wedding favors used by the couple. You can select specialty cocoas, teas or coffees or you can have the packaging customized to include your picture, an appropriate quotation, poem or other message related to loves and weddings. Putting the couple's names as well as the wedding date on the package is a good idea as well as including a picture of the couple. Even if none of these ideas is too your taste, it might at least make things easier when you come decide on what you're a favors will be.
